On Tuesday our chess team took part in a ‘Chess in schools’ competition held at Stratford Town Hall. The children played in a tournament against other schools and the Mayor of Newham was the guest of honour to present a trophy to the winning school plus individual medals for top scoring pupils. Well done to all of the children from New City who took part, we are very proud of you.
