On Friday 21st April, New City celebrated Earth Day by wearing green! In assembly, the eco-warriors explained the purpose of Earth Day, and launched an anti-litter poster competition and an inter-class competition to see who could grow the tallest sunflower. In KS1 and KS2 , the children then learnt more about the history of Earth Day and the importance of looking after our planet. Many year groups also developed their mathematical data-handling skills.
