On Tuesday, the New City Debating Team took part in the final competition of the year: The Debate Mate Cup. We took 3 teams with us and competed at SOAS university of London. Our pupils had the opportunity to showcase their debating skills in a number of different lecture halls. All pupils represented the school impeccably throughout the day, showing respect and kindness to their opponents. The team showed their amazing progression in their oracy skills by finishing 4th out of all teams that were there- an incredible achievement that they should all be very proud of!
