Year 4 visited Kew Gardens as part of their Brazil unit in Geography. They are currently learning about the Amazon Rainforest and were able to experience this within the tropical greenhouse in Kew Gardens. Children learnt and read about different types of plants in the rainforest as well as what they are used for. They were able to discuss what the climate within a rainforest is like and the benefits of it. We also identified different layers of the forest.
