In History this term, Year 5 have been learning about the Great Viking Invasion. Pupils were extremely surprised to find out that the Great Heathen Army developed a calculated plan to conquer Britain and enjoyed debating about the success of their plan. For their homework the pupils made Viking Longboats, displayed below. In order to report on the devastating consequences of the Great Invasion, pupils took on the role of journalists by producing some excellent newspaper articles outlining the raids and battles of the Vikings.
